About MHT-CET

MHT CET or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai for admissions to first-year Engineering and Technology programmes and Pharmacy programmes in the state.the exam used to be conducted by DTE, Maharashtra. Candidates will be allotted seats in the different colleges of Maharashtra on the basis of candidates’ results in MHT CET. It is one of the largest exams in terms of test-takers in India as around three lakh applicants appear in MHT CET every year. MHT CET is considered a relatively tough exam to attempt and there is usually a huge buzz among aspirants on how to prepare for it. Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has released the official MHT CET Syllabus along with the marking scheme. Each paper will carry 100 marks each with no negative marking. 2 marks will be awarded for every correct answer in mathematics paper and 1 mark in other papers. According to MHT CET Exam Pattern, the exam will be held as a three-hour computer-based test. MHT CET will have three question papers: Paper 1 (Mathematics), Paper 2 (Physics & Chemistry) and Paper 3 (Biology) with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Eligibility for MHT-CET

The MHT CET eligibility is yet to be announced by the exam conducting authority. It is expected that the eligibility criteria for MHT CET will be announced along with the application form. Candidates aspiring for MHTCET can refer to the eligibility criteria. All the candidates who have passed/appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th Standard or its equivalent and having Indian Nationality are eligible to appear for MHT CET. There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT-CET.

Pattern of Questions

MHT CET Sample papers include previous years’ question papers and model question papers based on the exam pattern of the entrance exam. MHT CET question paper are a helpful tool for measuring learning levels, and weak & strong areas in preparation. The practice papers are bound to help the candidates in familiarising them with MHT CET Exam Pattern and Syllabus.

Marking scheme

Each correct answer will be awarded four marks One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer No mark will be deducted for the questions which have not been answered Questions that have two or more responses marked on the OMR sheet will be considered as incorrect and one mark will be deducted for them

FAQ

The examination will be conducted by online mode for PCM and PCB group separately. The examination is held at various centres across Maharashtra and outside the state of Maharashtra.

The application form will be available only in online mode on the official website.

Filling up Application Form for MHT-CET 2021 – Fill the personal details and educational details on the application form.
Upload of Photograph and Signature – Candidates must upload their recent photograph and signature with the specified format and file size.
Payment of Fees – Candidate can make payment of fees using online payment mode only.
